They have to be smaller than 3mb but bigger than 3 kb. weirdly ordinary photos you upload can be 5kb-5mb.

Hywel, it's our favourite place to go for a good stretch; about 10 miles from our house. It has a 'feeling' all of it's own..

Yes, what tales they could tell, Klahanie. Some of the stones were re-erected in 1935. Apparently, some were destroyed in the Middle Ages. There is still lots to see and a museum close by. Within view is Silbury Hill, built (they think) about 2400 B.C. It is man-made but it can only be guessed what it was for. West Kennet long barrow is only a little distant, too. An ancient landscape.

Kate and Rose, we enjoy lots of the areas round about here. The Marlborough Downs and Ridgeway Path are good places to stretch your legs (and get blown away!).

I remember my brother having a very spooky experience on Salisbury Plain, many years ago.

We drive to Salisbury very regularly, Janey. I know Salisbury Plain a bit. It doesn't take much to get the imagination going in some places round here!
