This I grew from a cutting of my other plant. Funny thing is,that other mother plant is short and bushy. You would think a cutting would be a perfect clone. But,no. It's really growing fast upwards in the 4-5 years since I took broken pieces right into the ground.

That's the rental cottage. They put that in for their children to see the hummers. I think we get mostly Anna's and Ruby throated. They also flit over to the Aloe's and the burgundy Iochroma shrub by my home on the other side of the driveway for nectar around the year.
I think Kate and Klahanie the word for yards like this is tapestry. Its making use of very limited space to enjoy as many plants as you can. It also creates in time some pruning and removing..part of the fun.

Tapestry is definitely the best description, Stan.

Every now and then I think it would add to it to drop a few sizeable rocks...but then I might have a nicer look..but less room for new plants. A perpetual decision. I have a few large black lava rocks behind the Madagascar plant, and its been covered by plants that nobody even see's it. New rocks would have to be a lighter colored I see....ha.
