Aw,thank you Kate, Poppy is our Daughters dog,but we take her out most days,as she works. I call her my little shadow,as she follows me everywhere :o).

Thank you Anget,she is so funny,as whenever she sees us getting her coat and lead,she stands rigid,and would probably not move at all,if we left her..Lol .Once outside ,she's fine ..:o) The photo shows just how she reacts ! lol

Rose,she has stolen our hearts, and considering Russell wasn't really a dog lover,he is worse than me ! lol. she has such a lovely nature too,but she seems to think she's a Rottweiler when she sees other dogs ! Lol. She would love you ,Rose,as she loves cuddles ..:o) xx

Haha Sandra, she's like Lottie, anxious until out the door then Bark bark bark at any dog she sees, even the ones who would eat her for dinner! They're protective of us tho.
If you managed to get Poppy out of the door wearing her new coat, you've done better than me. Lottie won't walk at all until it's taken off and I can't really drag her round like a sack!

Lol Janey,Lottie sounds just like her ,doesn't she? Barks at almost everyone,which is embarassing sometimes. If we see someone approching,especially with a child,I warn them she will probably bark,so not to scare them,but she definitely doesn't bite.
Once she gets to know someone, especially if they have a dog,she is friendly,
I think it's just a small dog/breed trait,as Alison is a member of a Dachshund Society,and they all meet up at different venues ,on a regular basis and the majority of them bark ,but all get on well together. They went to Temple Newsham last Sunday..it was bedlam,apparently ! lol.
Dog training didn't work..been there ,done that ! ha ha.

She was very naughty a couple of weeks ago,as Alfie forgot to move his Chocolate Advent Calendar out of reach,when he went to School..and when we arrived later that morning,all had been eaten from 15th Dec..till 25th,
! Clues of ripped packaging all over the floor..

Alison had to ring the vet ,as you will know ,Chocolate can be poisonous to dogs,and we worked out the amount she had eaten ,in Grammes,from the packaging.. Thank goodness,the amount consumed ..42 gm..wasn't a dangerous level.. Phew.. I think she was very partial to 'Kevin the Carrot ' ! ha ha,, x

I can.imagine her face when.you found it...That sort of side long glance and slow slink into her basket? Haha...what a tinker. I'm pleased all's ok though.
I brought mum in law over and Lottie was the star of the show, throwing her Christmas pudding..(new velvet toy not a real one!) into June's lap for June to throw. Even as June was beginning to nod off, pudding was thrown harder..then the begging began..along with a whine which woke June to fling it and begin to nod off again! What an afternoon..

Thank you Chris,and she was very well behaved on Christmas day,and she had quite a few acceptable treats ,so all is forgiven ..all chocolate related goodies,were well out of reach ! x

Siris, she hates going out in the rain,but when you have to go,you have to go ! lol ..Lucky she doesn't need her lovely coat on,in the garden :o)

It made me smile about the Christmas Pudding..:o) Poppy had an Elephant,and so far,only one ear missing,and the 'Squeaker' is still intact ! The crocodile is as yet,all in one piece,but I'll give it a couple of days !
Poor June, having her Chrismas nod disturbed though.,but no chance here with two energetic boys and Poppy.:o) I'm sure you still had a n

We celebrated Christmas Eve, as Katherine was working Christmas Day, so I brought June to mine.. we had a lovely time.

That was nice to have June's company,Janey. How good is your Lottie ? I bet she won't be long in making a dent in them,once boredom sets in ! ha ha.

Thank you Janey. we went to pub that does a lovely Carvery,so we all had a lovely meal ..Alison took a small dish,so we put a few tasty morsels in from our plates to take home for Poppy :o) all gone in a few seconds ! lol x

Ha ha,Amy.that's it exactly ! she still tries to slink away from us, when she sees us getting her coat,or harness, then she goes rigid,when we say 'No'.,and we then get 'The look' ! Once she is outside she is fine..Lol. I'm sure you do miss Barney,I don't think you ever forget a much loved pet. xx.
