Wow, what a flower head. I thought it was in a vase at first.

Thank you,
Anget.I think it must have been grateful to get out of the cold loft, into the warmth,as I forgot about it till January !
.........
Thank you ,Shirley, I do love the colours .Julia is fine, and came back for a short visit,so it was lovely to meet her for lunch last Thursday.I'll pass on your kind regards. :o)

I agree,it does look like a Vase, Siris.I have to stake it so it looks neat and tidy ! :o)

Thank you Chris, I think it's better than last years too. I did follow all the instructions ,I was kindly given by Balcony,on aftercare, who is the expert on these plants. so it must have sunk in ! :o)

It looks beautiful! The Amaryllis plants are blooming all around here in San Diego. My plants in the front yard are about to open their buds.

Thank you Kate, I'm amazed it has done so well ,as I've only ever had one before, which was years ago, and I didn't know then, how to save it.. That was well before Goy,and members who are here to help us ! Lol.
.........
Thank you Delonix,If only we could grow ours outside too, that would be great. :o)

Congratulations on getting it to flower again this year! It looks really spectacular & I'm so pleased that my advice helped you to get it not only to survive but grow even better than last year!

Thank you Balcony, and thanks for your advice which I found so helpful. It was much easier than I had imagined,in keeping it for a 2nd year, and hope to do the same again..I came across a blog by Sarah Raven, who had posted a feature on the care of Amaryllis,as you do,when browsing ! She suggested watering with tepid tap water, which I've been doing,so as you can see,it seems to have worked :o)

oooh! it’s beautiful. I have never seen one with so many heads at one time. Well done for getting it to flower a second time and so spectacularly. :o)

Thank you Hb2,it really is spectacular, isn't it? .How I wish it would last a lot longer,as some of the first to open are almost finished now,but it's done itself proud :o)

I NEVER water with cold water straight from the tap for ANY of my plants! I have a couple of dozen old 2lt water bottles (NOT to be confused with HOT water bottles! πŸ˜‚) that I use for watering. I refill them after using them & some of them are probably 20 years old by now! πŸ˜‚
