For my records. Bought a year ago from a supermarket. Today it has sleet/snow falling on it!

Thanks Sheila - I spotted a huge Bee trying to get into the flowers yesterday - not sure if he was just a little bit too big though!

This is fabulous ,one of my favourite shrubs , that really is a beautiful one , shows you can really pick up some decent plants at supermarkets , I always buy their Clematis and repot them until they grow more roots before planting them out ..

One of my favourites Shirley!

Amy, the German supermarket I bought this from really look after their plants, unlike a major UK one where the poor plants are indoors and just die of thirst!
Rose, it's fast becoming one of mine too!

I love the new red growth on these,Shirley, but I'm hoping we don't get a frost to turn them brown ,as often happens.
I know they recover, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.!

Sandra, we had a ten minute snow flurry earlier but I doubt that will hurt it! I am surprised at how cold it has turned, after the sunny days of last week. Hope they return soon!

Lovely shrub. Quite a few round here that seem to have a lot of flowers on this year.

Lovely pieris, Shirley! I do have a few too, they really are an all round garden plant for the entire year!

Hope it’s survived the frost Shirley? My two both got “burnt”, but I know they’ll recover 🙂.

Thanks everyone - at the moment it looks fine and not browned by the frost - hope it stays that way!

A beautiful shrub, Shirley!
Some years ago they planted up a lot of these in tubs in the High Street in Cuenca. As we haven't been back in over 5 years I don't know if they are still there or how they are doing if they are.

I like to think they are still growing well!
