Tulips and Forget-me-nots

A lovely combination Janey..I have Forget-me-nots,but no Tulips..I need to remedy that,for next year :o) x

Thanks Sheila and Julia, I planted the forget me nots as ground cover till other plants bulked up and they've certainly covered most of the border!

They are nice together Sandra. These are pots of tulips, which I prefer as you can.pop them where you like and also when the flowers have finished, you can move them, so avoiding thick flapping green leaves in the border...:))

I agree about the pots, Janey. My problem now is whether to keep the tulips and plant them in the border or not. So little space, and so few return next season. On the other hand I'm always aware of the waste if I don't plant them!

Hi Ange, yes I know what you mean, if you've room, I'd plant them, but you are right they don't do so well another year down.the line, not like they used to. We do seem.to get a hot couple of weeks just before they flower, I'm sure that adds to.it too.

Oh thank you Cariad. I transplanted these forget me nots from a shady area and split them at the same time. I never expected they would grow quite so tall!

Well they certainly like it there, they’re putting a right show on for you :) I bought my first one from the Carboot a couple of weeks ago, I really hope they look as good as yours do.
