My dear old Nan had this growing in a thin, dry border beneath her front room window and it was beautiful to see. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be grown too much around here now.

I do Sue,and I have clumps of it all over both front and back gardens :o)

Shirley,I haven't seen it growing anywhere else around here,as I found it growing wild on a back lane,when I used to take my daughter to Nursery,40 years ago ??? .I wonder if it had seeded from another garden nearby? Anyway,I pinched a tiny piece,so I guess I've helped conservation a bit,in a naughty way...Lol. x

Shirley, Isn't that just what the plant/seed gatherers did years ago ,but travelling to countries all over the World ?? I only needed to go on our back lane to be environmentally friendly .! lol..

My mum had this for years in her garden Sandra, always loved it's bright pop of colour..:)

We certainly did,Stera, running free ,etc,no restrictions as such as there are today.and coming home when you were hungry! Happy days. :o) ..
