Their fireplace was so welcoming and christmassy. Hospitality second to none.Thank you didn't seem enough so I sent a bouquet of 💐 mixed flowers.

That looks like the perfect Christmas retreat. How I wish new houses came with fireplaces, they make a room!

Sounds great Julia. In our previous house, an open fireplace was the first feature we made (chimney there already). Lighting the logs every Sunday afternoon got me through the winter 🙂. At least we now have a hole-in-the-wall gas fire with “logs” which OH doesn’t have to clean! And it does make the room more cheerful.
