So pleased to see these two here again.

It's lovely to have these two collared doves so close to the house. I had one for quite a few years that was very friendly and then last summer two came. Off they went end of summer and left me with the pigeons..:((
But it's great to see them back and also a pair of Robins that are spending their days here too..:))

Hi Janey - haven't seen you around for a while - good to hear from you again. Glad to hear you like the collared doves. I get fed up with them calling We told you, we told you, for hours on end...

Hi Janey..
compared with those ghastly pigeons, the collared doves are very sweet. They might have their nest nearby.

Lovely to see. Perhaps they feel that Spring is on the way?

I wish pigeons had not displaced our Collard Doves.

I prefer these to the clumsy Pigeons!!

Hi Stera, haha, now that's what I'm going to be singing, when they call! I don't mind their cooing, and these two are very sweet..:))

Those woodpigeons peck all the new shoots in the garden Julia, it's as if their diet has changed! There is an.old pigeon nest in my birch tree, which is due for pruning in a couple of weeks and down.it will come!

They must be like us Sheila, wishing these cold midwinter days away as quickly as possible!

I know Siris, they want a good culling!

I think we're all so fed up with the pigeons Shirley, waddling all over the garden like bantams..:((

We have just got back two doves which disappeared for a while last year.
They are so pretty!
We do however have one resident pigeon who just sits on top of one of the arches and if another pigeon comes in, he will clear it off!
So he can stay!!

Delicate little visitors. We have one occasionally but I think it has lost its mate, sadly.

They're lovely to see Janey and great that you have a pair. We have just started to see them in our garden too. Haven't seen them for ages, then all of a sudden here they are.

Nice to see them! Much preferable to the.wood pigeons!!! Pigeons are such messy, messy birds!!!

Thank you everyone, yes the pigeons are not our favourites, the one here has even.pecked my crocus shoots..:((
The doves though are lovely and gentle aren't they, I do hope we keep them all as spring and summer emerges..xx
