I have just Googled Ford Prison and am delighted to read that they now run a cafe and plant shop called ... 'Serving Thyme' !

Ha, ha, a couple of my Rip Van winkles are "in hiding" amongst a clump of DayLilies.

They are a lovely Daffodil, aren't they, Shirley? I grew them one year on the balcony & then transferred them to the church gardens where they come up again every year! I must look & see if they are in flower now. Lots of the Daffs I've put in over the years are flowering at the moment while others will do so shortly. 😃

David, that's a lovely thing to have done ... :o)

Thank you, Shirley! But I do it because I don't have room on the balcony to keep them in their pots & troughs all summer or to take them out & save them during the summer.
It's a way of conserving them for many more years & giving other people pleasure in seeing them every year.
But even the church gardens are running out of room to plant more! 😆

David, I was disappointed to find only three Crocus have popped up around my Mum's plot in the churchyard ... I blame Squirrels for taking the other twenty or so that I planted!

I can imagine Shirley your disappointment. 🙁

Julia, these are lovely and always make me smile. Some years ago Ford Open Prison, not too far from us, had a little area to sell plants and I bought some of these bulbs ... they failed to return the following year to which Michael said "They've absconded!!".
