Summer brights

Three of my favourite plants out of the garden. Rudbeckia laciniata Salvia Cerro potosi and Echinops, all three make such a pop of colour..

Thanks girls. We'd had such breezy days and the Rudbeckia especially was getting flattened. It's nice to see them without having to go right down the garden..:)
These are just a few for the kitchen Klahanie but I'd been very lucky and had gorgeous flowers sent for my birthday a couple of weeks ago..:))

Hope you had a lovely day Janie. Lovely to bring a few flowers inside to enjoy.

A lovely arrangement of flowers from your garden, Janey!

As we looked after our daughter's dog for 2 days while they went away to a seaside resort for a day when she came to pick it up she gave us a lovely bunch of roses! 👍

We have very seldom had cut flowers from the balcony. A few years ago I grew Sweet peas & I brought some into the house. We occasionally get a plant & have it on the living room table for a few weeks. &, on very rare occasions I've bought my wife a bunch or 2 of Carnations, one of her favourite flowers. But most of the time there are no flowers in the house - unless they are plants I'm growing that are in the kitchen or the bedroom windowsill!

Lovely bunch Janey. Cerro potosi is definitely my favourite Salvia … such a vivid colour 🙂.

They look so pretty and are perfect for this time of year. Flowers picked now seem to last longer than those picked on early summer - I think!

Thanks Linda, I did, spend it with my daughter..:)

Thanks Klahanie!

Special roses from your daughter Balc..:)
Well you have your Amaryllis too in Spring, they're really lovely. Lots of people don't have flowers inside. My daughter's always has flowers, she takes after me when I was young..

It has been the mainstay of my sunny border all summer Sheila and I've just retrieved Amistad from being hidden by huge foxglove leaves. I really thought I'd lost it in the winter.

Thanks Wildrose, yes they look still the same, I think you're right there..:)
