Love the colour combinations. So cheery. Hope they flower for a long time. I love the smell of rosemary.

Janey, there are two of those pots, one either side of the front door and were a Christmas gift from my son and daughter-in-law many years ago. They had an Agave per pot for many years.

Your house certainly has a nice cheerful welcome with two pots like that by the front door, they look great.

I've got 11 Cyclamen plants in individual pots on the balcony railings! I had to bring them further inside the balcony this afternoon as we were forecast lots of rain over the next 3 days. I don't want to risk loosing them!

David, that's a very sensible move. We had heavy rain and strong winds last night, no serious damage thank goodness!

Although the rain lasted here for most of the day on Friday, the weekend has been dry! I could have put the plants back on the balcony on Saturday but the forecast was for more heavy rain & strong winds - neither of which we had here - so they have stayed on the balcony floor. I will put them back into the rings on the balcony railings on Monday.

Good plan! We had a pleasant sunny day yesterday, at last.

I did put the plants back in the rings on the balcony railing on Monday morning. But in the evening I saw we were forecast heavy rain during the night & I almost brought them back inside the balcony again! Thinking it was probably exaggerated I left them out. This morning the balcony was dry & I saw no signs of rain, no raindrops on the leaves & the compost in the pots wasn't particularly wet either.

Well, that was very fortunate! We have another grey and wet morning here and I have just been looking at the flooded roads and rail on the Isle of Wight. That's not too far from here ... :o(

I also read about the flooding on the Isle of Wight caused by Storm Babet. Also I saw there was an Amber rain alert for your part of the country on Tuesday, I think it was. Did you have a lot of rain as forecast?

We were really lucky I suppose because, other than a very rainy day on Friday, we got away without the strong winds & heavy rain we were forecast from Storm Babet!

We did have some heavy rain on Wednesday night but it drained away quite quickly during the day, phew! Chilly start to the the morning today.
