Just brought in from outside.
A vine native to Brazil so I do not think its hardy enough for staying outside even when I read its hardy to zone 6.
This is it's second winter with me. I cut it short all winter long.
Very showy flowers.

It is a double edge sword Klahanie. :) Yes tender plants in the winter but also to vintage motorbikes! The leather gets damp and them gets a mould on it. So I had to yield to hubby's pleas.

Klahanie,
Most Mandevillea species are zone 10 plants.
They’re very common in the landscape here. There’s so many varieties a available now. Mandevillea ‘Alice Du Pont’ is still my favorite, but it gets a lot of aphids.

1°C is way too cold for this plant, 6 to 12 degrees c is optimal for lows, for tropical Mandevillea species.

You’re welcome.
And of course, those are morning lows in winter.

They really are lovely Klahanie. Takes me back to my Spain days, I had a pink one that scrambled all over our outside kitchen area.
