Leaves of Ginkgo biloba

Leaves of Ginkgo biloba

Beneficial for our heath.
Known as a 'living fossil', one of the world's oldest living tree species: it was around 350 million years ago

The word "ginkgo" comes from the Chinese word "yinxing" meaning "silver apricot"

Beautiful leaves and such a pretty light green/yellow in summer, Klahanie. All those eons of time it was quite happy without humans.

Thank you Hywel and Janey for commenting.
I do not remember seeing yours Hywel.
I love it's leaves Janey but never used them for tea (so far). It lives in a big pot for many years now and wonder it the roots escaped to the ground.

Hywel. Thank you for reminding me. Of course . I should probably start to drink ginkgo tea. Apparently it improves memory :-))
Your note made me laugh.
