Lucky you! Despite many attempts, I can't keep them at all! One of my favourite spring flowers.

They are Julia, thank you.

Sorry to hear that Ange. These are in an.old large tub that have daffs in them too. Also some in the garden close by. They are shaded all summer, I wonder if that helps.

I love winter aconites Janey! These are lovely, so bright and cheerful on a dismal day.

Lovely sign of Spring on the way!

Such cheerful flowers when everything is cold & dismal! They are one of the few spring flowering bulbs I've never grown! No particular reason for not growing them!

I have some bright yellow Violas flowering on the balcony & they make a big difference!

Thank you Rose, it's amazing how they suddenly pop up and open..:)

Let's hope so Sheila, it'll soon be February and a short month! Nothing like wishing the days away, I think we'd better love these gloomy rainy January days..:( x

Oh Klahanie, I suppose they'll be kept ok, so pleased it's going for you.

I can imagine your yellow violas Balc sunny and cheerful. You're right, they do make a difference, with the gloomy weather.
The Aconites were a gift from Amy, years ago and they give me a reason to go down the garden now..:)

Lovely New Year's colour, Janey! I won't see mine for a little while yet.
I'll enjoy your cheerful batch meantime.

Lovely to see a touch of colour in the garden. Brightens up the dull days. It's overcast here this morning, but at least we haven't seen much snow so far this year. Take care...Linda.

It's been the same here Linda, we're not out of the woods yet. You too, keep snug. x

We've had to keep snug for 24 hours as our electric supply wasn't working. No heat, no cooking or hot water, so it was a hat and coat day inside, and some of the neighbours were affected too. One of our neighbours near here gave us flasks of hot water and another one invited us over, so we spent the evening with her. It's really lovely around here. We all help each other.
We went and ate at the local fish and chip shop and had lunch at the tea rooms in the river gardens to try and keep warm.
The men worked very hard outside to get our supply going again and it came on at 5 this morning.....

Linda I'm so sorry you had to do without electricity! How wonderful to know your neighbours really helped keeping you warm inside and out..:) And places nearby to be whilst all was fixed. So pleased it's back on for you. Don't you have lovely people close by..
