Water colour of Red Admiral on Groundsel.

Water colour of Red Admiral on Groundsel.

A customer where I hang my paintings asked me to paint this particular butterfly. She had moved from Nottingham to a small village not far from us.In the summer she noticed many Red Admirals feeding off the fruit from her Damson tree.It would be a reminder for her.I think we might have only seen 1 last year.It was a very intricate painting to do.

A muntjac deer, fantastic Julia, I remember Amy used to have them visiting her old garden.

We used to have muntjac deer visiting our old garden too. Quite chunky, but amazing what tiny gaps they could squeeze through. I’m looking forward to seeing your painting Julia …

Well done Meadowland. I don't know about you, but when I paint different things, I learn something new every time.
