We had some snow today, but it's raining now so hopefully it will melt o.k.

I see a lot of the snow from yesterday has thawed over night. Non forecast for today only rain. The Cyclamen are such pretty plants, leaves and flowers.

Just been for a walk in the river gardens and the river is running fast with the snow melt and rain. The snow around here has melted away, but further north I think it's still hanging around.

Yes, we had some sleet as Eileen mentioned. I was in Lincolnshire yesterday morning and it was snowing. Had started to lie, and the fields were white in places. Soon as I was over the Humber Bridge, it had turned to sleet and shortly afterwards, rain.
Pretty cyclamen in the snow, Linda. Hope you enjoyed your walk.

I’m glad it’s thawed now and you managed a nice walk. I will be glad when T has had his hips sorted and we can get out and about again. It’s making me so sluggish not being able to go walking like we used to.

Hi Kate, We go walking most days when the weather permits. We walk one and a half to three miles. The dawn is breaking and it's a pretty one.
Hi Homebird, hope all goes well with T's hip operations when he gets them. The main thing is to do the physio afterwards. I did when I had my knees done within 5 months of each other. One of them niggles me now and again but it was nearly 10 years ago now and it's worth it. I hope he hears soon about his operations. Take care of yourselves. Linda x

No snow here on the east coast, thank goodness!

Thank you Linda.

That's good Rose. At least people can travel around when there's not a lot of snow around. I've just noticed our little daffs are opening. It's been a dull old day though. I've just made some jam and mince pies and a steak pie.

You have been busy Linda! Making my mouth water!

Rose, I use butter and plain flour, mix it together in the blender then add a some water to mix it all together, pop in the fridge for half hour wrapped in clingfilm. Roll out, fill up and cook.

Thanks Wildrose, these little flowers do exceedingly well under the climbing rose.
