I like these very much. Talking of nibblers, something has done for a lot of my snowdrops and crocuses this year. I didn't think of bird damage, although we did used to have a mahonia once whose flowers the bluetits would demolish!

Lovely delicate flowers. I've noticed snails around with the warmer weather and the spiders are building webs everywhere too.

Ange it could also be pigeons if not the blackbirds. It's so annoying isn't it, my Tete a Tete daffs have holes in them too. So it was blue tits with your mahonia, I wondered if it was sparrows, but mine have been decimated too.
