Hi Meadowland and Janey, yes they are so sweet, and their mother was so loud and attentive, but there were only two babies. I hope they survive.

We are heading off to Stourhead soon so I’ll take my camera. Last time we saw not a single baby fowl. Surely there will be some by now!

I hope you manage to see some new life where you are going Karen. It's always useful having the camera handy in case you see something different. Hope you have a good time in Stourhead.

We did thank you! But not a single chick anywhere to be seen. The lake is at a very low level as the Dam requires repairs. It’s been low for months and was even lower today. That’s bound to affect the breeding isn’t it. But I suppose it badly needs doing.

I expect the birds will find somewhere safe to nest Karen. At least they are repairing the dam.

Just adorable! We used to have ducklings and their mother visit our little pond many years ago…haven’t seen any in a long time now.

We haven't seen many ducklings for a long time either Kate.
