Hellebores - in August!

Strange goings-on everywhere!

That is definitely strange Shirley!

I often see plants flowering out if season, it isn't unusual, it happens every year.
I've often had Hellibores in July and I've got Primroses and Weigela now, and I've seen Bergenia in summer time several times. I've also got Doronicum with buds on it at the moment too.

Rose, I'm going to just put it down to weird weather!

Hywel, I can only say it's the first time I have seen anything so out of season in my garden. My Primroses are looking dreadful, as I would expect them too!

That's a lovely picture, Shirley! I don't know if it's unusual but I have some Cyclamen plats I saved from the winter on the balcony & at least one plant now has buds that will open any day now!

Thanks David, I too have some Cyclamen flowering in the garden, pink ones have been out for a couple of weeks and a white one is in bloom today. I'm sure they aren't usually out in August!

August is a wee bit early for them to start flowering! I've moved the plants that have survived the summer out from the behind other pots on the shelving on the balcony wall. I've given them some water & now they have both moisture & light they should start growing & flowering again for this winter.
