Congratulations, Lindak! Not been a particularly good year for growing tomatoes with the cold spring & the on & off hot & cold spells we call an English summer!
My daughter send me some photos of her ripening tomatoes this afternoon so I took some of mine & sent her them as well! Though hers are tremendous whereas mine are cherry tomatoes. 😆

Hi Balcony, cherry tomatoes are lovely to eat. We grow our tomatoes in large pots rather than bags, but everyone has their own way of doing things. When our tomatoes have the flowers on and if the sun is on them, we gently spray them with water in the middle of the day to set the flowers. We grow gardeners delight, shirley, sungold and tigerella.

Yes, they are & when they are warmed by the sun they are really delicious!
I just tap the flowers, no need for spaying them with water! Always gives a good result! You can also gently shake the plants a little with the same results. I've done this for years & years!
I've grown 'Gardeners Delight' both on the balcony & years ago when I had an allotment. Probably my most favourite tomato!

Gerry taps the plants as well Balcony. Aren't we lucky to have such a lovely choice of tomatoes. So versatile in the kitchen recipes too....
We used to have an allotment when we lived on the Isle of Wight. It was covered in weeds and grass when we took it over. We grew all sorts of vegetables on it.

The tomatoes have given us lots of good fruit this year and we've given a lot away to the neighbours.
