Hey, do you have space to eat off your table?

FF, we remove the plants from the table when we want to use it! Anyway the Amaryllis flowers only last about 2 weeks! When they finish flowering I take them to the 2nd bedroom where they spend the next 12 months on the windowsill!

Thanks,Andy! :)

Mine should be flowering by now, but not this year. Mine tend to bloom twice a year, and of course, they’re growing outside.

Do you grow Crinum ‘Queen Emma’ lilies there in the UK?
Queen Emma lilies tend to flower many times throughout the year (here in San Diego, CA. anyway). The plants can grow pretty large, sometimes more than 10 ft (3 m) tall.

There may be a few bulbs around the country but it wouldn't survive our winters being outside. There are few parts of the UK that are frost-free all year round so it would have to be grown in a greenhouse.

I did a search for this lily & it seems it is a big plant but nowhere did I find a mention of it growing up to 3m high!

I have enough difficulty in keeping my Amaryllis alive over winter let alone a "monster" like this! Though I would certainly like one - or more! :D

Queen Emma lily a pretty tropical plant. It actually can grow larger than 10 ft (3 m), it can grow to 15 ft (4.6 m) in time. I have posted some on GoY in the past that were over 8 ft (2.5 m) tall here in San Diego. My Queen Emma lily in my front yard is 6 ft (2 m) tall. It definitely needs a lot of space, even in a pot.

Just the one in your garden would be much bigger than I have room for on the balcony which is under 7ft high! :D
