Owls!

When you went rock-hunting, there were obviously a lot of owl-shaped stones that day. LOL

As soon as you see it, do you know what creature a stone will become, or
do some of them take a while for you decide what it will be?

Oh a whole family ,they are so sweet , do people use them as paper weights Gillian ?

I had a lot of requests from the shop for owls so I went specifically searching for that shape one day - they are the hardest shape to find! That's why these are all shapes and sizes.
People either stand them in the garden, use as paperweights or just put somewhere for decoration.
I did a cat asleep on it's back once, and someone bought it to put on thrir cat's grave!

The pet grave idea is wonderful.
If you lived nearer, I'd ask you to paint a stone for my previous budgie.
In fact, adding up over the years, I could have a whole flock of budgie stones just like your owl ones above. LOL

Irish, if you were giving me driving lessons, you'd make me laugh so much we'd end up in the ditch. How do your pupils ever keep a straight face, or manage to drive in a straight line ? LOL

They are adorable ! You are very creative. Over the years, I found that a lot of gardeners are multifaceted, where creativity is concerned.

I work at a gift store in Streetsville that also has a bird and garden store close by and I sell my rocks in there. I used to do the rounds of gift shows, also sold them in another store in Streetsville until the owners retired.
