MY [ EVEN BIGGER ] NEW LAWN MOWER

MY [ EVEN BIGGER ] NEW LAWN MOWER

Bonsai the Welsh Terrier.
This mower was a gift for his 13th birthday ~ 26 Oct. 2008.
He received the gift a few weeks before the actual date so that he could enjoy mowing the back garden grass in the sunshine. :o)

Bonsai went to doggie heaven on 21st November 2008.
Some of the comments below were made prior to that time.
Rest in peace my clever special boy. xxx

This one is as daft.

At least this one goes in straight lines.
The other one does crop circles. :o)

VERY CUTE!

Being Welsh, he can also mow the hilly bits. :o)

Have these dogs heard of minimum wage?

4 Oct, 2008

They negotiated a colossal quota of Bonios per hour...

He is a real sweetie....

Skippy~
Thank you. He's my veteran boy and I love him far too much....

4 Oct, 2008

He's gorgeous, TT, love his coat!

4 Oct, 2008

Thanks, Janey.
I hand-strip his coat.
It's a 'labour of love' like carefully looking after a lawn.
He adores being groomed and bathed.
Now he's older, he often falls asleep when having his 'hairdo' Lol

Wow, he doesn't look all that old...Guess he has been well taken care of!

Bonsai enters charity dog shows - just in the few summer months. He's recently won twelve first prizes in Veteran Classes. He's my darling.
Yes, I must admit I work hard at keeping him as healthy as possible. He'll be mowing indoors from now on, until the spring! I'll have the shortest carpets ! :o)

Today on the TV news was a report of an East Anglian becoming World Champion Lawn Mower Racer at his first attempt. A 500 cc home-made machine which reaches speeds of over 50 m.p.h.

Although I've mentioned above that Bonsai can mow FAST, I must admit this Champion wasn't Bonsai, but a Suffolk man, Andy Hyden. Andy's next event is a six hour mower endurance test.

How long does it take you to mow your lawn???
Could you compete? :o)

6 Oct, 2008

I couldn't but my boyfriend does the mowing...Luckily for you bonsai doesn't need a cigarette every 15 minutes....Is he up for a vacation next summer?

6 Oct, 2008

Bonsai will do a beg every 15 minutes, just in case there is a Bonio on offer.:o)

He does have a trick routine which involves going on holiday with his little suitcase. I even made him a "Welsh Passport". :o)

6 Oct, 2008

O TT Bonsai is so Clever :) he looks so Happy Bless him :)

6 Oct, 2008

He LOVES his new mower.
It's just a bit big when he wants to use it indoors ! Lol. :o)
Conker's mower is a bit smaller and easier to move around my lounge ! :o)

Jacque ~

Not a flagged comment but.....

Very cute fur babies Terra I'm a big fan of training dogs trick-wise both my 'old ladies' (yorkies) can do tricks although I never thought of training them to mow the lawn or hover up for that matter in fact neither could I train my hubby to do so....Boy are those guys hard to train! ;o)Hel.xxx.

Helofadigger ~
What tricks do your old ladies do?
They sound lovely. How old are they now?
I find there's a great difference between training my Terrier and training my Sheltie.
Different mowers, different tricks!
You can see on the other photo that Conker's mower is smaller. I guess you'd need a tiny mower for a Yorkie!
Lol xxx

Terra my two old ladies are Pepsi who's 12 & Jovi her daughter who is 10.
Both the girls can dance while standing on their back legs although Pepsi does struggle to do that now but there is no stopping Jovi who thinks she is still a wee puppy.

Jovi not only dances but can run around me while on her back legs, walk backwards again on her hind legs, acts like she is crippled by dragging her legs along the floor, pretends to 'die' when you shoot at her with your 'hand gun' , can twirl over and over when I make the correct hand movements and of course push a little child's trolly like your fur babies do and she likes dressing up in baby clothes to do her act!

Until 2 years ago we did have a HUGE Rottweiler but because of his size all he could do was carry things on his back, push things, shake paws and give the biggest most sloppy kisses you can imagine we were gutter when we found out he had bone cancer.Hel.xxx.

Helofa ~
Pepsi and Jovi are very clever. I really enjoy teaching tricks to my dogs and it sounds like you do too. What a dancing duo you have!
Seems like they do a really good mix of tricks. Bonsai can't perform quite all the routines he could when younger, but still enjoys a lot of them.
So sad about your Rottie. They are real characters. xxx

8 Oct, 2008

What a character, those eyebrow say it all. Pepper chases me round when I'm vacuuming, thought she wanted to help, but no she just has to be vacuumed too...

9 Oct, 2008

Maybe Pepper could jump in Bonsai's pram on the other photo, and he could push her around. :o)

9 Oct, 2008

You gotta laugh, these images are fab,

Funkyfuchsia ~
Glad we made you laugh.
Both my dogs are pushing their mowers indoors now ~
Bonsai rather slowly because he's not too well.
My lounge carpet has the best stripes in the neighbourhood. Lol. :o)

30 Oct, 2008

These photos are priceless. Have you thought of hiring them out in the neighbourhood? You could make a mint with a doggie landscaping company.

Hi Gilli ~
Glad you like this one.
If you look at Welsh flags picture, it explains that sadly Bonsai the Welsh Terrier is currently not too well. But Conker the Sheltie is in training for next year's garden projects. :o)

18 Nov, 2008

Oh, I'm sorry TT, I didn't realise he was ill. Poor fella. Molly and Susie send their best wishes. {:O(

19 Nov, 2008

Gilli ~ Thanks for best wishes from Molly and Susie.

Bonsai went to doggie heaven on 21st November, 2008.
Rest in peace my special boy. xxx

23 Nov, 2008

I know you feel sad TT but this photo can't help but make us all smile. What a little sweetie.

23 Nov, 2008

Sal ~ you're right.
This was one of the last pictures taken of Bonsai.
Today I've uploaded a photo of Bonsai with my back garden flowers, to celebrate his life. :o)
