The same old bench in spring

Is there no way to prevent the canker ?

Same old bench!!....what a wonderful place to sit and peruse.

Wow! Each season brings it's own form of loveliness. I'm looking forward to seeing it in winter and summer.

This is just lovely. I have just planted a flowering cherry towards the back of my back garden, & I can totally visualize it looking like yours in a few years ..... perhaps with a bench below it too!
