very lovely picture. But why are you growing the rhubarb like this? Is it done for a reason. just curious. Love the picture!!

Hi Whyldflower,......... this is an old way of growing Rhubarb.....you put the forcing pot over it in early Spring just as the first leaves are beginning to emerge. It keeps the plant warmer and forces them to grow pink and tender towards the light. The first sticks were really tastey and not as tart as usual....also it grows in a small area whereas before the plant took up quite a lot of room with it's very large leaves.............and there's also the thing of me liking the pot and wanting one in my garden!....Lol
