Ice blizzard.

The dark clouds send their biting blizzard,
Storms come, dark and cold.
But spring works magic like a wizard.
Hyacinth buds unfold.

Sunshine beams to melt the ice
Brings warmth to ease the pain.
Days are scented, sweet and nice
We smile and laugh again. :o)

Oh gosh....I'm not going to wax poetic....It would fall flat after you two poets!! :o)

My balcony looked like your photo for a couple of days but once the weather got a little warmer & the snow went away everything got on with growing & the flower pots on the balcony railings burst into colour with all the crocuses in flower! :o
The Pansies are now beginning to flower that I planted on top of the crocuses. They help to hide the dying foliage of the crocuses. :)

The pointing finger of Winter's hand
Reclaims the unprotected land
Stealthily she creeps from place to place
Leaving small tokens
Of snowy white lace

Fingers crossed she hasn't done too much damage Jonathan.

Poor plants

My balcony got covered in lots of snow in February this year. I've posted a couple of photos of what the balcony looked like then!

The pots were full of Crocuses & had a Pansy in each pot. I've only lost one Pansy in the ten pots on the balcony railing.

The Crocuses flowered very well & now the Pansies are doing the same.
