Yes, that is a musa zebrina blood banana. It isn't hardy in my zone 7 gaden so I have to dig it up every year and store it in my in-laws basement, but it's worth the trouble,(don't ask my husband's opinion on that..lol ). It's located in my small tropical garden bed. I haven't posted a photo of it yet.

Oh Lordy!...is that a Banana, beside a Brugmansia? ((Well, yeah, Lori, learn to read.)) You are flower crazy...but what a divine madness, aye?

how do you get so many plants looking so good,i allways end up with at least 1 large gap....................

I over plant my flower beds by planting things closer together than reccomended, cuts down on the weeding. Weed seeds need light to germinate. I'm also bringing home plants from the local nurseries every weekend, and if something is through blooming or doesn't grow well, I jerk it out and replace it with something I just bought..lol.

What a beautiful border.I like the way the plants are tumbling over the edge of the path helping to soften the shape and edges.
Is that a banana growing in the background?
