Thank you the Aquilegia are Clementine - more white and also anemones about to open . Lily of the Valley has taken a while to establish but 10 shoots showing this year..as you ve probably guessed a little white obsessed but this area so dark and shady .
Thanks Gee and Aleyna - this was truly a waste tip when we moved in but the soil is dark moist and crumbly lovely to work with.

Beautiful photo BB....those Narcissi are gorgeous...........

So pretty and natural. Are the stones part of the pond or is this a path? I'm very nosey, arent I. lol

Thank you Janey think they are N. Thalia - nice fragrance to them ..he he Dawn not at all , its part of the pond and we walk across the middle of it to get to the bench .
At one point considered decking and this was to connect to this path but would have meant losing this border - rather have the plants and a tricky pond crossing ...no punt intended .

This is a fabulous mix of colours, Bb :-)

It looks gorgeous BB, even tho we garden differently i still love to see it all, Woodland, wild, cottage, the list go's on, if i had a couple of acre's i would have a multi theme'd garden, And because of GOY i sorta do! :)))
Magic..

Ha ha, you make me laugh BB. This is a great idea, sounds very magical. I fell in our pond one morning a couple of years ago - middle of winter, just walking along the back of it with Bonnie, lost my footing, rolled down the bank and in I went, that made me draw my breath in a bit sharp, lol.

Looks smashing Bb and I ,m so glad you didn,t use decking, your stones blend in and creates a natural looking effect ..........

A great photograph of another lovely corner of your garden Bonkers.
Dawnsaunt. I must ask. Was it before or after the sauna, the run through the snow starkers and the thrashing with the birch twigs?
How many points did you get for artistic interpretation?

Thanks Dee - me too love to follow your progress with your front garden which is of course totally in keeping with your home. Yes sure you wouldnt want an over grown jungle and happy to see mine from a distance .lol
Thank you David - you have a water feature ? if you could get that water hawthorn with its vanilla scent to blend with your chocolate - yummy ..
Yes Lincslass it seemed like a good idea to provide a seating area and a link to the path but as you say became pretty clear it wouldnt fit with the rest of garden .Far too neat and presentable ..so we just have to balance across the rocks at least I cemented them in !
Thanks Toto for the comment and for conjuring up that image ...Sure Dawn will get back to you lol

He he Toto, well I'm sorry to spoil the illusion, you obviously dont know me well yet - Ray and Jane would know exactly what I was wearing, lol. There was snow on the ground but I was clothed .... wooly hat, dressing gown, husband's anorak and wellies - no joke. There was a sprinkling of snow on the ground and it was a very long walk back to the house with wellies full of water, lol. Artistic impression, well probably 10 as I did roll down the bank and entered the water sideways, ha ha.
