Japanese maple leaves made it through the freeze after all

Filling up and looking grand! So much already going on. What is the whisp of smoke looking plant in the center, just below that wonderful maple? So interesting.

Yes! now that you mention it GT...it is very interesting. is it a young cotinus? can't be blooming yet, can it? or is it a kind of grass?

Thanks GT, wish all my garden was as full as this little section...lol . That plants is called Foeniculum vulgare 'Purpureum', common name is bronze fennel. I just love it's color and movement in the garden.

I'm working on it Bonkers, I swear....lol. Glad you like this flowerbed. It only took me 15 years to get it this way....;-). I don't think they are ever 'really' complete though. Mine aren't anyway, my OCD won't allow it ...lol
