The fresh new growth of the acers is really welcome after such a winter. This border is 16 years old - we prune it in March and June and whenever it looks straggly.

What is the pink shrub to the front?

....and what is the yellow/lime one in the middle? Beautiful photo.

Thanks, everyone.
The pink shrub is a pieris - can't remember the exact name but it wasn't the usual "forest flame" but a slightly browner red. Think it began with Wol...? We keep it pruned hard.
The lime green plant is Acer shirasawanum' Aureum'
