Gone to my favourites Louis, Where did you buy these ferns? I love Them..
12 May, 2009
At my local garden centre Youngdaisydee, which is in Northants. These are my favourite ferns, coz the spine on the fronts are dark brown.

Thanks Louis, ill write it down and go look for one :) How big do the grow, thats a big pot its in?
12 May, 2009
The fronts can grow up to 150cm. Yes, they get big, but they look ever so nice. The fronts are already 30cm long, and it's only May. If you're gonna grow it in a pot, make sure you have a biggish pot. Good luck, you wont get dissapointed with this plant for sure. :-)

Thank you Karensusan6. This is indeed my favourite fern. You can't go wrong with this one......Good luck :-)

Thanks Louis! I'll see if I can find one or two of these. I prefer evergreen ferns, but the bigger ones all seem to be herbaceous....or perhaps you know better?
19 Feb, 2013
You're welcome Karensusan6. I still have some green fronts, albeit looking a bit tatty. What I always do, is cut all the fronts early string, and new fronts comes up quite quickly, by May / June there are loads of fronts. I also split the clumbs when they get too big for the pots.

Yes, I like them in your pots, it adds to the effect. I think I shall have a couple for my new shade garden, if I can squeeze them in. :) Thanks for the info.
