His name is Charlie, and yes he is a maine coone, having had one already I think they are the best cats ever!

O.K., I've always wondered about Maine Coone's. I love the look of them and wondered about their temperments. I've been convinced that my Sadie Lou may be part MC. What are your favorite traits?

Hi, to answer your question about maine coones - they are very friendly, Over here they are known as BFG or Big friendly giant!
They tend to adopt one member of the family, the one who gives them most attention I guess and feeds them, although this is not always the case.
Because of their size most people are a bit apprehensive of them, but really they are very affectionate.
The only `bugbear` sometimes can be their fluffy coats, they are not as bad as persians but you do need to keep them groomed, a comb through a few times a week usually does the trick.
I would certainly recommend this breed as a pet.
