Is it easy to care for spritz?
6 Jul, 2009
Is this Hawkshead Barbara ?
6 Jul, 2009
No , Hywel - my Hawkshead is not doing very well, I'm afraid. :-(
Ian - I do absolutely nothing to care for this! No deadheading, I just leave it alone. So, yes, it is very easy!
6 Jul, 2009
Sorry to hear that.
6 Jul, 2009
Is there anything I can do to give it a 'boost', Hywel? It has grown a little, but it's only about 6" tall, with 4 or 5 shoots.
6 Jul, 2009
I like that idea, :~)) Its def. going on my wish list/fav's list.
Hi Hywel, Hows you tonight?
6 Jul, 2009
I'm OK Ian thanks :o)
Hope all's well with you too.
6 Jul, 2009
You could try giving it a good feedBarbara. Fuchsias are very hungry plants.
6 Jul, 2009
We're doing great, thanks :o) Just had a cuppa plonked down in front of me! Does anyone fancy one ?? Spritz, how about you?
6 Jul, 2009
OOooooooooo Yes Plez 2 Sugars & very little milk 4 me Ian :)
6 Jul, 2009
Kettle's on!
6 Jul, 2009
Not for me, thanks - now hot chocolate, that I'd say 'yes please' to!
Thanks, Hywel. I shall do that tomorrow. All-purpose food or tomato feed?
6 Jul, 2009
Hot chocolate it is then :~)) kettle's just boiled you won't be long will you. Lol
6 Jul, 2009
I think I would try All-purpose. You want to develope a good root and shoot systems at the moment I think. I believe tomato feed would encourage flowering when the plant seems rather too small yet. ( Hope that makes sense )
6 Jul, 2009
Thanks, Hywel. That sounds sensible.
Coming, Ian, now I've heard from Hywel!
6 Jul, 2009
Can I butt in? Hywel's right, tom food is for flowering/fruiting it has a high potash content. (I go through loads of it, Tomarite is the best!)
Yeay I answered a question instead of asking all the time :~)))))))))))))))
6 Jul, 2009
Well Done Ian :)

Oh, I want one too, now I know what to look for. I have never seen that one before Spritz. It is so delicate, must sent it to my friend, she would love it too.

A very nice plant! I've not seen this one around here. I've seen a few of these hardy Fuchsias but they are mostly red .
