Well, here's a genuine 'Handel' found this morning, not yet planted! Now I have to make a space for it!

Much prettier than the pink one with a 'Handel' label!

We thought of you Hywel !
It was a bit odd that the other Handels were a different shade and an all-over pink, wasn't it ?

I've had Handel for several years.
Pretty petals :o)

I hope you both had a lovely time at the garden centre Barbara and Louise. It's nice you thought of me when you bought this. lol. I remember a long conversation about it the other day.

As Louise just said, Hywel, we had to be VERY careful, as two others labelled as 'Handel' had flowers that didn't look right...and the other ones had no flowers - so it had to be this plant, didn't it? :-)

Did you tell the garden centre owners or someone working there about it ?
I think they must have had a whole batch of wrongly labelled plants.
I hope you find somewhere suitable for your new Rose.

Errr...no, we were too busy looking for things on my carefully composed list! And it was quite difficult to find any assistants yesterday - they'd all vanished! Maybe they saw us coming? lol.
I am still inclined to remove a tatty Hebe after it has flowered and put it there - next to the stream wall.

I think it would look lovely by the stream. Now I understand what you meant when you said it could tumble over a wall.
I know how difficult it is to find anyone at a garden centre. They never seem to be around when you want them. It's annoying.
All this talk about garden centres has made me want to go to one. lol

We found a lady who had tried to get advice with not a lot of success and was a bit 'lost' as to know what to buy, so we 'designed' a pot for her! She was very pleased, but it was fun suggesting plants! :-)
You'll have to arrange to meet another GOY-er, Hywel! We enjoyed ourselves!
