Mid-winter in northern Oz: some colour in the driveway

This photo shows the beautiful white bauhinia in flower and the tabebuia starting to flower - that's the tall tree with the dark pink flowers - down our driveway.

Thanks for the lovely comment Junglejen - I do love it out here. Although I do have to say that the place is looking very dry at the moment - we just do not get rain for a long time over winter and spring. It's nice to see some colour somewhere on the property besides the courtyard garden!

Your garden looks amazing Bernieh I especially like your courtyard, ferns, palms and the pond area is just gorgeous. You are so lucky to have all the beautiful creatures and birds visiting you. It makes my garden look like a postage stamp! It is worth all the effort you must put into it.

Thanks Skillen - not as much hard work to do anymore! We can now sit back and enjoy the special spots such as the courtyard, the greenhouse and the fern gardden. We're very lucky - it's the first time we've ever lived on such a large property... and I do know about small gardens as I've had a few over the years. There's still a lot to enjoy in any garden no matter it's size!
