This black planter, and the anemones, was not planted up by me, but left behind by the previous private tenant of my house (wasn't I the lucky one?)

I have known this flower for years, so just glad to have helped with the ID. It is not, strictly, a Spring bulb, but a corm. Many pics on GOYpedia, under "Anemones" or "Spring Colour Plants", if you need more info. :-))

I'd never choose to plant this, Tt, but it is, in fact, such an amazing sight to come home to! In the shade, however, compared to your Spring colour! :-))
