Lovely indeed...

One I couldn't resist. One of the criteria I use if I spot a new plants to ask myself if I'll regret NOT buying it once I get home. This one was a 'must have'!

We have just bought a little beauty, which we have growing in a small pot at the moment, but oh the perfume!!

No it is Daphne transatlantica Eternal Fragrance and it flowers from April to October, has lovely pale pink flowers...

Lovely Spritz . . . I wonder why I've never bought a Daphne?! Wonderful fragrance.

Some of them can be tricky customers - they up and die on you...for no apparent reason, too! :-((

Oh dear :((

There's a nursery not far from here which specialises in Daphnes and Betula amongst other shrubs, and they add a warning in the catalogue about Daphnes being a bit particular. Pity, if you pay out for a lovely shrub and it decides it doesn't like your garden! :-((

I've always been afraid to try Daphne cneorum because I know they can be finicky and there are so many small reliable hybrids but they sure are pretty when they're flowering!

This one seems 'easier' than some other Daphnes, or maybe I was lucky to plant it in the 'right' spot.
