Now making a small tree, Butterball has been covered in tiny apples this autumn...:))

Thanks Bjs, no I plan to prune it in the winter and keep it in the half barrel, I'm hoping it won't mind too much!

Its growing well Janey I have one which looks the same but has a different name mine is Golden Hornet its pictured on the right hand side of the screen that is if your screen is the same as mine Lol . Crocus £ 47.99 good grief I didn't pay that much for mine its a few years old and very big ...

Lovely :-), perfect name too, I also love the small tree in the background is it an acer?, I've zoomed in but can't be sure, lovely shape :-)

Hi Kathy, yes it is a beautiful little tree, Cryptomeria japonica elegans, this is it's winter colour. In spring and summer, it's bluey green. It has really soft foliage and will soon be too large for it's container. I've a conifer to dig out before I can plant it out though....:((
