I been tempted to by one of these, now that I see what the little flowers look like when they open I think I shall. So pretty Bernieh.

Will be looking for you photo - I rather like the purple one as well ... I've been thinking about getting one, but I will put it on the list for next year.

Bernieh:

My plant has the same color flowers as your plant...however, it bloomed back in Sept...now it has
fruit or berries which are purple. I'll be posting a photo today sometime.

Ah yes ... sorry, wasn't thinking about the berries ... I just saw a medinilla in the nursery last week that had the less pink, more purple blooms.

I am delighted to say that I rescued one of these plants from our local garden center yesterday with the same colour flowers as yours Bernieh. It looked like it needed a good rescue, so I purchased it for half the asking price, as they are quite expensive here. I was told the flowers can last up to five months, so I am looking forward to the plant making a healthy recovery, then I may be rewarded with it's magnificent blooms.

Lucky you Faerieflora - they are a beautiful plant. Over here they do flower several times a year and I just love their pendulous blooms. Mine is planted outdoors in a garden bed where it gets full sun for most of the day ... and it seems to be loving it. Hope yours grows and flowers well for you.

I hope so too Bernieh, I love the different shades of pink within the outer flower petals... Have a lovely Christmas.

The best of the festive season to you as well Faerieflora!
