I love these. If I still had a greenhouse, I'd grow and fill it with them! This one reminds me, in a way, of Sonic Hedgehog, Tt! :-))

Stunning

Thanks, Milky and 6d!

Folks like Delonix1 pass them every day, outdoors, growing wildly, but I just love them, despite them having to be grown indoors, and with heat! Tried growing sme from seed, once, but failed, miserably! :-))

What a shame you failed.

These always remind me of holidays in the Canary Isles ... hotel reception always had them on show. Beautiful flower.

Shouldn't have laughed at your tale of woe, Amy, bit I did, sorry! : o )

Shirley, the seeds I failed with were bought in Tenerife, lol! I could always try, again, 6d?

Your lovely tale made me smile, too, Amy :-))

I'm pleased it made you smile Shirley /David it didn't seem funny at the time I thought I had paid for a plant in flower it was when I turned it upside down to see if it needed repotting that it fell out attached to a stick , I promise you it really did look real .. :o(

It's ok, Amy, we believe you! I'm sure you weren't the first, or the last, to have been fooled. : o )

Excellent pic, David. It has the profile of a gaudy pelican.
Here we can keep them outdoors, but they grow to an enormous size and have to prune them every year.

I like the "gaudy pelican" description, Arcadio. :-)) Prune them? As I said, just wish I could propagate them, even under glass. :-))

Oh, Lori, yes! Can't think of a better combo!! :-))
