Shed 'love'

Well the rain held off just enough for me yesterday for me to finally finish painting the new shed and to put my tool racks up and add some decorative touches.
I just love it now, my husband has to keep reminding me what time it is (which means he wants his tea) I dont want to come in at night!
Everything fits in just nicely. I knew that tool rack I got at Newbury would come in handy!
And the final touches -
The rain has made gardening difficult, but at least the new water butts are full
Roll on summer…..

You`ve done a great job Poppy, love the colour.

I have three and they all need painting, one is mine for my precious tools, another is fishing tackle and spare plantpots, used to also house the pushbikes in years gone by, the third and largest started life as a gymnasium and now stores lots of things belonging to all the family, sunloungers, fancy table and chairs, gazebo, swimming pool belonging to grandchildren, barbeque anything that we need to use in a glorious summer, don`t think I`ll get to open it yet or paint them all, I once threatened to empty it and have a shed sale, then turn it into a summerhouse, thats also a laugh, I do like the colour you have used Poppy..

Thanks everyone, so glad you like it. Im lucky really because all the other stuff that needs to be hidden away is jammed up in the garage, much to my OH's disgust. Having this little shed is just for my tools and the lawn mower and will save me having to trek across the other side of the garden to the garage. One of the new water buts is in this area too and that's so much more convenient too - cant think why I didnt do it before!

You stick to that Poppy, otherwise you'll lose out and gradually it will fill up, I am speaking from experience, lol....

I will! :-)))

The shed looks great PoppyL, nice colour & all your little bits. Bet you find more little bits at Malvern!

I have no doubt Willi. Trouble is I still have lots of nice bits left from the shop in the garage. Its just so full I cant find anything. I was hoping the shed would help but hasnt really made much impression! I have some nice shepherds crooks in there somewhere and ornamental bird cages. I hope I find them eventually!!

I'll have to come over & help you look. Anything you dont want we could do a bootfair with & then go & spend your earnings at the GC, Lol.

I meant to keep mine tidy too and now I can hardly get in it. that's life.
1 May, 2012
That sounds a good idea Willi. There's no room for me in there Meadow! Its purely so I can lock away my tools safely. I have been guilty of leaving them out around the garden in the past. I forget where Ive left them! Steragram, Im going to be really strict and just keep gardening tools in it, check back on me in a months time..lol

1 May, 2012
Take no notice of her, once I get over there I'll out them tools & get a couple of comfy chairs in there!

Your shed is lovely. All nice and clean... and tidy (You want to see mine !) And it's a pleasant colour also :o)
I think you should tell your husband to get his own tea lol And get it for you aswell ;o))

nice and tody!!!!!! I cleaned out my shed the other day..but its jsut got too much in it! What to do! lol

Lovely and tidy new shed Poppy... Like Bloomer we've got a His n' Her's shed. Trouble is it's more His than Her's - lol!!!
2 May, 2012
My half isn't full of useless stuff,Tracey..OH would have more space if he decluttered..and got rid of everything that 'might come in,one day' rubbish..:o)
2 May, 2012
Yeah Bloomer, men (most men, obviously not Goy men) seem to have a totally different idea about what goes in a shed. It usually involves lots of jam jars, full of things they might need in the future but somehow never do.. lol. My garage is a totally different story!
2 May, 2012
but isn't it good when they actually find 'just the thing' among the multitude of jam jars ? Lol....No garage at this house, and that was the worst of all to clear out when we moved...we now have a loft, which he put floor boards in,and shelving..so have the equivalent ,on the first floor ! ...we live in a Bungalow..:o)
2 May, 2012
Oh my God I must be a man .lol I hoard everyhitng..and usually one day there is a use for it" lol
2 May, 2012
If your garage is anything like ours Poppy. It holds everything except the Kitchen sink. Nor does it have space for cars! There is a gas cooker, a tumble drier and loads of other useful stuffff...!
Bloomer we live in a Bungalow too... and our loft like yours is boarded. Everything up there is in cardboard boxes and I'm forever being told that it's mostly mine - this is totally untrue. One day I'm going to hire a skip... or maybe we should just move - it's the only way to downsize from all the useful rubbish lol!!!
3 May, 2012
We have already had a clear out,Tracey...when they were doing that free topping up of insulation,so it all had to come down..!..so many old pieces of carpets..'just in case' ..as if !! He kept the best one, and it is now a soft walkway down the middle..very upmarket .Lol...We bought some of those see through plastic boxes,so we can now see at a glance what kind of exciting rubbish we have :o))
3 May, 2012
What a can of worms...lol! It is nice when you find something useful in amongst the junk! the plastic box idea sounds great Bloomer. dont move Tracey, your garden is too lovely to leave!
3 May, 2012
I have the dogroom, 2 sheds, GH & a store all full of rubbish, Gezz no wonder my garden is so small, Lol.
3 May, 2012
That ....PL is not just a shed, but a way of life. Its gorgeous. I have to pimp my shed now!!Loving that wreath. Saw a heart shape in twigs at my local GC . Will have to rush out and buy it. So artistic.PL. :))

Aaaaw thanks Maggi, I like it. I have to keep stopping myself from adding bits though. I did get some bunting, dont want to overdo it! It may have to go around the gazebo instead, if we ever get to see the sun!! I love wreaths on doors. I would also have a flag if it were a bit bigger but I think the flag would be bigger than the shed!!lol
12 May, 2012
I love this Poppy...I've got bunting up in my kitchen!:-)
