Trailing Lobelia

I have trailing lobelia mixed with geraniums and licorice plants. The lobelia has gotten very long. My question is- can/should I trim it with scissors so that it will bush out more?

I have trimmed lobelia and it doesn't seem to do it any harm. After cutting them back in the autumn, some have over-wintered in a cold greenhouse and have produced good plants the following spring.

If you dont like the look of it as it is and you want to trim it go ahead. Whether it will make it bushier or not I dont know but it shouldnt do it any harm.
