I have a hydrangea in a pot on my patio and as you know they are coming to an end. What do you do about preparing them or next year? Do they need to be dead-headed?
Thanks.

No, don't cut it in any way at this end of the year, even deadheading. Leave those on to help protect the plant during the winter. As its in a pot, you should move it to a sheltered spot, if you can, and then deadhead and prune, if necessary, next April, when growth starts.

How do I say thanks?
