Try one of the beefsteak or big boy varieties and keep it to one fruit on a truss

Your Local allotment growers may know something we dont why not ask them what does well in your area etc?

I have heard Sicillian Saucer is huge....a heritage type. Otherwise I'd go with a true Beefsteak.

We haven't tried the varieties mentioned by Gilli, but Marmande is the preferred tomato to grow in this region as it has lots of flesh but few seeds. We weighed our 'monster' in at 1lb 9ozs this year with runners up coming in at 1lb 6ozs and 1lb 4ozs and we weren't even trying!

What are you planning to feed it with?
