It would probably do the trick but it is very sharp and could injure cats, birds and other local wildlife.

sorry i didnt realise that you actualy ment them sharp dangerous things that you lay carpet on it seamed so obvious it cant be them lol .snails and slugs would just climb over carpet grippers as they slither as aposed to walk .we all have blonde moments lol .

yes ive never herd of that before.ive herd of people gluing carpet grippers to the top of there wall to deter burglers but that wouldnt work as if the burgler is shorter than the wall the carpet grippers are going to painfully keep him there .
