can I grow sweet peas and runner beans together?

If you grow them close together and they intermingle, make sure you don't eat the wrong ones as sweet pea pods look similar, albeit smaller, but they are poisonous.

I've never mistaken sweet pea pods for runner beans they stick out at 45 degrees to the stem and runners hang down.
the pods them selves aren't poisonous and I seem to remember that old runner beans are also liable to give a poorly tummy.

Yes I all ways do. I find the sweet peas encourage pollinating insects in and then they help pollinate the beans. They will need lots of water too.
