Yes they grow very well and fruit well but I had trouble with Blackbirds pecking the fruit, because you do have to leave some open doors at times.

Yes Sandra, You can grow tomatoes in a polytunnel but you will need a blower to keep down condensation.
If you need to open doors, netting will keep the blackbirds away.

Sandra. I found tomatoes growing in my polytunnel were badly affected by damp and needed more ventilation.
As I have chickens I could not leave the doors open so I solved my problem by replacing the polythene covering the doors with plastic windbreak. I also left more ventilation space between my plants and have had no further problems. Good luck

Sandra. A polytunnel is just great for tomatoes. Loads of room and insects can get in easily for pollination (or should that be polytunnelation?)
