Right! Back again!
"established pruning consists of taking out completely a proportion of the older wood, so use lopers or a saw to remove 2 or 3 older stems to the base in late winter. This helps keep plants productive. As the same time tip back vigorous new shoots to a plump, healthy bud to encourage side branching. Winter prunings of 1 year old wood can be used as hardwood cuttings." end of quote.

I would have thought it would be good to prune it when it's finished fruiting. I don't know if it's one of those fruit plants that fruits on last year's wood.
I have got Carol Klein's Grow your own fruit book, I will look up blueberries for you. If you don't mind, can you wait while I go and get it?
