Words of innocense

My daughter and her two children came to stay with me for a few days from Scotland. My 4 year old grand daughter just loves pottering around in the garden and collecting leaves and flowers into empty plant pots. The other day she came and told me that she was going to make a wormery but had changed her mind because there was bugs in her pot, so she was going to call it her bug……y. Trying hard to keep a straight face i explained to her that it wasn’t a very nice word to use and suggested she call it her spidery. Later in the day i heard her telling her mum all about her spidery that she had made.I still chuckle to myself when i think of it.

Ah, sweet. I was called into school once after my youngest (6 at the time) had said that word, but without the Y, at school; because his grandfather often used the expression ' stop b..ggering about', he didn't realise it was a bad word. Quick thinking on your part, Rohima, well done.
